My 2nd ted talk video was about a man named Fred Jansen, manager of the Rosetta mission who was the guy who successfully landed on the comet C-G. the mission went on for 10 years and was finally successful may 2014. In this video Fred focus on his calculations on the solar system and all the math he had to do to get to the comet. He so had to focus on other planets and there effect on the comet. The way he eventually landed on the coment was with gravitantional flybys . "sling shots" thats when you fly as close as you can to a planet and get its velocity. Fred tried many times and then his plan to fire rosetta and land on the comet by harpoons finally worked and the philae receieved all the data back to earth.
What i thought about this video was it was pretty interesting but hard to understand as well. Because im not very the type to be all into the space kinda stuff. I watched this video atleast five times to undertstand the whole premisis of it . and the fact that Fred landed on a comet is pretty awesome . that takes a lot od work and dedication and he never gave up on his work so it was nice to listen to a guy talk passionalty about his mission that took years.
